Artic Disappearing, Polar Bears Cannabalize

A recent CNN news video reports that the Artic Sea is at the second lowest level ever which also means disappearing ice. Climate change is identified as the cause and therefore impacting the wildlife, polar bears and those cute white seals.

Please watch the news video and consider the following:

If polar bears and other artic wildlife face endangerment as a result of disappearing ice, should the world and governments take steps to change the climate crisis? Or do you think climate change is a natural evolution which has caused dinosaurs and other animals to become extinct?

I'm no expert and am slowly educating myself, but based on some comments from news sites, some believe this claim of "climate crisis" is a hoax.

This "Global Warming" hysteria is nonsense. The Earth has been warming since the ICE AGE. There is nothing we can do about it; we are NOT causing it. The Earth goes through cycles; face it! Since the beginning of time, species
have been going extinct, mostly due to climate change. But, the last time I checked, there were not any "carbon footprints" during the age of the Neanderthals. [sna1109]

I wonder what scientific evidence SNA1009 bases her statement on? Share your comments by POSTING A COMMENT.

Wanting evidence? Although this blog is old and unnoticed by others, I just come across it and thought I would enlighten you on a few points... especially because my comment is the basis of the entire overlooked discussion.

EXTICT DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE:

Neanderthal extinction, about 25,000 - 30,000 years ago, is mostly due to climate change (Wikipedia); they could not adapt to a constantly changing global tempurature. I do not believe "Carbon Footprints" were relevant during this age.

Cave Bears became extinct about 27,800 years ago due to CLIMATE CHANGE. I don't think the Cave Men's "footprints" had much to do with global warming.

The Giant Ground Sloth, or Paramylodon harlani, most likely became extinct about 13,000 years ago due to climate change killing off their favored plant... and they could not adapt. Were ancient humans the cause of climate change then? Doubtful.

Woolly mammoths were driven to extinction by climate change, while human hunting acted as the final straw. Again, in this case, I don't believe "carbon footprints" had much of a role in the warming of Planet Earth.

Wooly Rhino died off mostly due to climate change. Yet again, "carbon footprints" were not relevant in the warming of our planet.

Need I go on? It doesn't take a genius to figure these things out... just a simple search engine called GOOGLE!!

As for CANNIBALIZING BEARS: The reported killing of a female in a den shortly after it gave birth is only ONE documented example. Polar bears kill each other for population regulation, dominance, and reproductive advantage, the study said. Killing for food seems to be less common, said the study's principal author, Steven Amstrup of the U.S. Geological Survey Alaska Science Center. "During 24 years of research on polar bears in the southern Beaufort Sea region of northern Alaska and 34 years in northwestern Canada, we have NOT seen [any] other incidents of polar bears stalking, killing, and eating other polar bears," the scientists said. (CBS News Report)

So, nice try on that one. Global Warming, like I said, is NONSENSE; nothing more than a political ploy.

I have just a couple of more points to make, though.

Carbon Dioxide is a necessity for life on Earth to exist. Without Carbon Dioxide, PLANTS would cease to exist... and in turn, there would be NO OXYGEN!! The more Carbon Dioxide, the better. Carbon Dioxide is not "giving Earth a fever," it is FOOD for our planet's foliage and does not effect the Earth's temperature in the slightest bit.

Two minute clip on how Carbon dioxide levels have NO effect on temperature -- on the contrary, evidence actually shows that Carbon Dioxide levels are effected BY temperature:

One more thing that I can't believe I overlooked. If you simply searches on Wikipedia "Antarctica" and scroll down to "Effects of Global Warming," you can see Images showing the Sea Ice Index around Antarctica in four different years during the month of June, ranging from 1979-2008, and the Ice Index has actually INCREASED over the years.

Wikipedia says, "Most of the continent's icy mass has so far proven largely IMPERVIOUS to climate change, being situated on solid rock; its deep interior is actually GROWING in volume as a result of increased precipitation. In contrast to the break up of some ice shelves (ice that formed on land and has now moved so it is floating on the sea) along the peninsula, the amount of sea ice (ice formed by freezing ocean water) around Antarctica has remained STABLE, or even INCREASED some, over the past 30 years. The average extent of Antarctic sea ice in one month can differ by as much as 1 million square kilometers from the long-term average for that month. The area covered by Antarctic sea ice has shown a small increasing trend (0.8% per decade)."

I really, truly feel very sorry for those who live in fear of "Global Warming" -- The greatest hoax in the history of our world (and I am not being facetious).
